Entropic Multi-Relaxation-Time Lattice Boltzmann Model for Large Density Ratio Two-Phase Flows

S. A. Hosseini et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a multiple relaxation time entropic realization of a recent two-phase flow lattice Boltzmann model, which significantly extends the stability limits of the original model and allows for larger Reynolds numbers at a given grid resolution. By studying simple configurations, the thermodynamic properties of the solver using the Peng-Robinson equation of state are confirmed to be in agreement with theory, and the model is successfully used to simulate the impact of a drop onto a thin liquid film, with good agreement to predicted scaling laws and experimental data.

Assessment of multiple relaxation time-lattice Boltzmann method framework for non-Newtonian fluid flow simulations

Manju Bisht et al.

Summary: The lattice Boltzmann method with multiple-relaxation-time collision is used to evaluate non-Newtonian fluid models in standard two-dimensional flow configurations. The validation of the method on four benchmark flow configurations confirms its effectiveness in simulating non-Newtonian fluids.

Central moments multiple relaxation time LBM for hemodynamic simulations in intracranial aneurysms: An in-vitro validation study using PIV and PC-MRI

Summary: The study focuses on implementing and validating a specific collision operator for simulating blood flow in intracranial aneurysms and validates the numerical model through different test cases. Low-resolution simulations are shown to capture blood flow information accurately while significantly reducing computational time.

Lattice Boltzmann simulation of transient blood flow in arterial geometries using a regularised, viscoplastic and shear-thinning fluid

Summary: This paper introduces a lattice Boltzmann framework for transient blood flow simulation using the Kuang-Luo rheological model, addressing numerical challenges and applying numerical methods in complex configurations. The framework's effectiveness is demonstrated through benchmarking against analytical solutions and transient performance validation.
