Linear stability of a rotating channel flow subjected to a static magnetic field

Summary: Magnetohydrodynamics is effective in controlling the instabilities of fluid flows without the need for extra mechanical components. In this study, the effect of a constant uniform magnetic field on the linear stability of rotating channel flow is investigated, and it is found that the magnetic force plays a prominent role in stabilizing the instabilities of the flow.
