The tensor glueball is investigated in BESIII data by studying radiative J/psi decays into pi(0)pi(0) and KsKs. An enhancement in the pi pi invariant mass distribution is observed, which can be explained by either a pole or three phi phi resonances, suggesting the presence of one, two, or three glueballs. It is also speculated that high-mass tensor mesons may possess both q (q) over bar and glueball components.
The tensor glueball is searched for in BESIII data on radiative J/psi decays into pi(0)pi(0) and KsKs. The pi pi invariant mass distribution exhibits an enhancement that can be described by a pole at (2210 +/- 60) - i(180 +/- 60) MeV or by three of phi phi resonances suggested a long time ago to be the trace of one, two or three glueballs. We speculate that several high-mass tensor mesons might have q (q) over bar and glueball components. (C) 2022 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.
