Bidirectional flow of MHD nanofluid with Hall current and Cattaneo-Christove heat flux toward the stretching surface

Muhammad Ramzan et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of Hall current, Joule heating effect, and variable thickness on the bidirectional flow of nanoliquid past a stretchable sheet. The results show that increasing the nanoparticles volume fraction enhances the fluid velocities and higher estimations of magnetic field parameter and thermal relaxation time parameter reduce the fluid temperature. It is also found that the Fe3O4-Vacuum pump oil (VPO) nanofluid improves the rate of heat transfer.

The parametric computation of nonlinear convection magnetohydrodynamic nanofluid flow with internal heating across a fixed and spinning disk

Muhammad Bilal et al.

Summary: The study evaluates the heat and mass transition characteristics through impermeable stationary and porous spinning disks with nonlinear convection flow, using gyrotactic microorganisms and magnetic nanoparticles to synthesize nanofluids in carrier fluids such as ethylene glycol and water. The analysis shows that in nonlinear convection flow, increased heat generation and temperature coefficient can elevate wall friction, while the mass transition rate is reduced with an increase in Schmidt number.

Summary: This article investigates the flow of an electrically conducting Casson fluid with homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions past an exponentially stretching/shrinking surface. The authors used homotopy analysis method (HAM) to solve the transformed system of equations and compared the results with numerical techniques. The study showed the variations in velocity, temperature, concentration, skin friction, and local Nusselt number for both stretching and shrinking cases.

Summary: This study focuses on the time-dependent flow of non-Newtonian fluids and investigates the thermal and solutal transport. The research reveals that the strength of homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions enhances the concentration of catalysts at the surface, and the non-uniform heat source/sink parameter plays a major role in determining the heat transportation rate.

Entropy generation on unsteady stagnation-point Casson nanofluid flow past a stretching sheet in a porous medium under the influence of an inclined magnetic field with homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions

R. Mahato et al.

Summary: This study investigates the entropy generation analysis of unsteady nonlinear radiative ethylene glycol-based Casson nanofluid flow near a stagnation point. The results show that an increase in the volume fraction of nanoparticles accelerates temperature but slows down concentration and velocity distributions. A higher Eckert number leads to higher velocity and temperature but lower skin friction coefficient and Nusselt number. Increasing the Brinkman number increases entropy generation but decreases Bejan's number.

Summary: The study investigated the heat transfer and entropy generation of a power-law hybrid nanofluid in a micro-tube with various factors. It was found that the presence of porous disks and magnetic field improved heat transfer but had mixed effects on entropy generation. Additionally, the use of a hydrophobic wall also showed positive impacts on heat transfer and entropy generation, with more significant changes observed in the first-order model.

Entropy analysis on nonlinear radiative MHD flow of Diamond-Co3O4/ ethylene glycol hybrid nanofluid with catalytic effects

Satya Subha Shree Sen et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the flow of Diamond-Co3O4/EG hybrid nanofluid towards a stretching sheet under the influence of magnetic field and nonlinear thermal radiation, including catalytic properties of homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions. The results showed that higher magnetic parameter values led to a decrease in fluid velocity, while the temperature profile of the fluid increased in the presence of nonlinear radiation. Additionally, the hybrid nanofluid was found to be more efficient in heat transfer compared to the corresponding nanofluid.

Muhammad Yasir et al.

Summary: This study presents an analysis of unsteady axisymmetric flow of Oldroyd-B nanofluid generated by an impermeable stretching cylinder, considering heat and mass transport, thermal radiation, and chemical reaction effects. The well-known Buongiorno's model is used to study thermal and solutal performances of nanofluid, with reliable results obtained through numerical integration. The findings show that temperature and concentration distribution vary with Deborah numbers, thermal radiation, and heat generation/absorption influence the temperature distribution and boundary layer thickness.

Summary: The study focuses on a numerical simulation of micropolar nanofluid flow with suspended nanoparticles on a permeable stretching sheet, revealing that an increase in the suction parameter decreases flow velocity and temperature, while injection increases temperature. Onset of unsteady MHD micropolar nanofluid flow with entropy generation

Mohammed Almakki et al.

Summary: This study investigates the micropolar nanofluid model equations of MHD fluid in the presence of entropy generation on a boundary layer over a stretching surface, with a significant chemical reaction. Heat and mass transfer are observed due to solutal and thermal stratification, thermal ration, and viscous dissipation. The velocity of the thermal boundary layer is enhanced by increasing the local temperature Grashof number, and higher Reynolds and Brinkman numbers lead to enhanced entropy generation, with thermal diffusion being the dominant source of entropy generation.
