PVA/PVP blended polymers loaded with nano Zn0.75-xCd0.25VxS (x = 0, 0.05. 0.1, 0.15) were synthesized and found to have a homogeneous distribution of the embedded nano-powder throughout the matrix. The optical bandgaps of all loaded blends with the nano materials were decreased.
PVA/PVP blended polymers loaded with nano Zn0.75-xCd0.25VxS (x = 0, 0.05. 0.1, 0.15) were synthesized by thermolysis and casting methods. Phase identification and crystal structure analysis of the nanopowders fillers were performed using Rietveld method. The X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared analysis revealed the homogeneous distribution of the embedded nano-powder throughout the PVA/PVP matrix. The optical bandgaps of all loaded blends with the nano materials were decreased. All films demonstrated a normal dispersion character. The effect of vanadium amount in Zn0.75-xCd0.25VxS/PVA/PVP on different dispersion parameters was investigated in detail. The effect of nano filler on the fluorescence intensity and the emitted colors of different blends was explored. The studied samples may be useful in optoelectronics applications.
