Impacts of Limited Model Resolution on the Representation of Mountain Wave and Secondary Gravity Wave Dynamics in Local and Global Models. 1: Mountain Waves in the Stratosphere and Mesosphere

However, this study takes a different approach by using a finite-volume model to solve the Navier-Stokes equations exactly. The results show that reducing horizontal resolution leads to changes in mountain wave generation, weaker secondary gravity waves, and less extended responses in the mesosphere.

Correlation Between GNSS-TEC and Eruption Magnitude Supports the Use of Ionospheric Sensing to Complement Volcanic Hazard Assessment
