Chemical constituents from theKnema globulariafruits and theirin vitrocytotoxicity

Ty Viet Pham et al.

Summary: Two new compounds, knecorticosanones A-B (1-2), along with three known compounds (3-5), were isolated from the fruits of Knema globularia. Extensive spectroscopy analysis elucidated their structures, and compounds 1-5 were evaluated for their cytotoxicity, with knecorticosanone B (2) and malabaricone D (5) showing moderate cytotoxic effects against certain cell lines.
