In this study, a new fungal species, eLLISEMBIA appendiculata, is described and illustrated. The specimen was collected from dead branches of an unidentified broadleaf tree in Hainan Province. It is characterized by distinct, unbranched conidiophores with monoblastic conidiogenous cells that produce distoseptate, obdavate or ellipsoidal conidia with 1-2 filiform, hyaline, aseptate, simple or branched appendages.
