Summary: We present a detailed spectroscopic and timing analysis of X-ray observations of the pulsar PSR B0656+14, revealing absorption features and emission components. We establish an X-ray ephemeris for the observation period and propose three atmospheric models.

NICER Study of Pulsed Thermal X-Rays from Calvera: A Neutron Star Born in the Galactic Halo?

S. Mereghetti et al.

Summary: Calvera is an isolated neutron star detected through thermal X-ray emission, with characteristics suggesting it may be a relatively young pulsar with timing noise consistent with normal radio pulsars. The study found an anisotropic temperature distribution on the star's surface, with a hotter zone concentrated toward the poles, and inferred a distance of 3.3 kpc.

PSR B0656-1-14. the unified outlook from the infrared to X-rays

S. Zharikov et al.

Summary: This study reports the detection of PSR B0656+14 using the Gran Telescopio Canarias, expanding its spectrum to 2.2 microns. Through analysis of optical and X-ray data, the surface temperature and emitting region radius of the pulsar were derived, while spectral features and variations in non-thermal emission were also discovered.

Middle aged γ-ray pulsar J1957+5033 in X-rays: pulsations, thermal emission, and nebula

D. A. Zyuzin et al.

Summary: The study confirms the pulsar nature of J1957+5033 through the detection of X-ray pulsations, the pulsar's spectrum is dominated by a thermal emission component, and new hydrogen atmosphere models are constructed to analyze the pulsar's average effective temperature. Additionally, a faint trail-like feature potentially powered by J1957+5033 in the form of a pulsar wind nebula is observed in the X-ray observations.

Heat blanketing envelopes of neutron stars

M. V. Beznogov et al.

Summary: This passage discusses the impact of a heat blanketing envelope near the surface of neutron stars on their internal structure, as well as the challenges of determining physical parameters and detailing models. The physical properties of the envelopes, including equation of state, thermal conduction, and ion diffusion, are outlined. The effects of magnetic fields and high temperatures on the envelopes are discussed, along with the ability to infer important information about the internal structure of neutron stars from observations.

Follow-up of 27 radio-quiet gamma-ray pulsars at 110-190 MHz using the international LOFAR station FR606

J-M Griessmeier et al.

Summary: This study observed 27 Fermi-discovered gamma-ray pulsars with LOFAR station, but did not detect radio pulsations at low frequencies, which is consistent with the results from observations at other frequencies. Additionally, the pulsars' geometry was determined from gamma-ray profiles to assess the potential for low-frequency radio beams to cross Earth.

The impact of glitches on young pulsar rotational evolution

M. E. Lower et al.

Summary: Our study reports a timing program of 74 young pulsars observed by the Parkes 64-m radio telescope over the past decade, revealing properties of 124 glitches in 52 of these pulsars using modern Bayesian timing techniques. We discuss the implications of the results in the context of various physical models, demonstrating a near one-to-one relationship between the interglitch value of the braking index and the change in spin-down of the previous glitch divided by the interglitch time interval.

Summary: The search for periodic radiation from five gamma-ray pulsars was conducted, but no harmonics corresponding to the known periods were found. Upper estimates were obtained for the integral flux density of the pulsars J0357+3205 (<0.5 mJy), J0554+3107 (<0.5 mJy), J1958+2846 (<0.5 mJy), J2021+4026 (<0.4 mJy), and J2055+2539 (<0.55 mJy).
