Luteolin inhibits FcεRI- and MRGPRX2-mediated mast cell activation by regulating calcium signaling pathways

Yong Hao et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effect of luteolin on allergic diseases and found that it inhibits mast cell activation and release of cytokines. Luteolin also reduces swelling and exudation in mice and decreases the levels of inflammatory markers in serum.

Investigation of oxidant/antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of apigenin on apoptosis in sepsis-induced rat lung

Mustafa Cicek et al.

Summary: The study suggests that apigenin may inhibit sepsis-induced lung injury by reducing oxidative stress and inflammatory cell damage. Results showed that apigenin treatment led to significantly lower levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines and oxidative stress markers in the lung tissues of septic rats.

Anti-Inflammatory and Antimicrobial Volatile Oils: Fennel and Cumin Inhibit Neutrophilic Inflammation via Regulating Calcium and MAPKs

Michal Korinek et al.

Summary: Research has shown that volatile oils from fennel and cumin have potential therapeutic effects on neutrophilic inflammatory diseases, suppressing activation and inflammation of human neutrophils and shortening calcium influx recovery time. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis identified estragole and cuminaldehyde as major components in fennel and cumin volatile oils.
