Controllable heterogeneous interfaces of cobalt/carbon nanosheets/rGO composite derived from metal-organic frameworks for high-efficiency microwave attenuation

Design of hierarchical core-shell ZnFe2O4@MnO2@RGO composite with heterogeneous interfaces for enhanced microwave absorption

The research lays a foundation for the design of high-performance electromagnetic wave absorbers with multicomponent heterogeneous structures.

Optimization of Fe@Ag core-shell nanowires with improved impedance matching and microwave absorption properties

Summary: Fe@Ag core-shell nanowires with enhanced electromagnetic wave absorption were successfully synthesized, with different Ag shell thickness controlled by changing Fe to Ag molar ratio to improve impedance matching and attenuation constants. The Fe@Ag core-shell nanowires show promising high-efficiency microwave absorbing capabilities due to the complementary effect of the Fe-Ag interface polarization, impedance matching improvement, and small-scale effect caused by the one-dimensional structure.

Metal-organic framework-derived Co/C composite with high magnetization as broadband electromagnetic wave absorber

Graphene-wrapped multiloculated nickel ferrite: A highly efficient electromagnetic attenuation material for microwave absorbing and green shielding

Summary: This study reports a multifunctional electromagnetic absorbing and electromagnetic interference shielding material using graphene-wrapped multiloculated NiFe2O4 composites. The conductive networks formed by graphene and the multiloculated structure of NiFe2O4 optimize the dielectric constant of the composites and establish a magnetic-dielectric synergy effect. The material also exhibits good electrocatalytic activity. This work provides an excellent jumping-off point for the development of multifunctional EM absorbing materials, eco-friendly EMI shielding materials, and electrocatalysts.

Nano-SiC-decorated Y2Si2O7 ceramic for enhancing electromagnetic waves absorption performance

Summary: In this study, dense SiC-Y2Si2O7 composite ceramics with excellent electromagnetic wave absorption properties were synthesized using the polymer permeation pyrolysis process. The as-prepared composites exhibited different microstructures, porosities, dielectric properties, and electromagnetic wave absorption properties. SiC-Y2Si2O7 composite ceramics with a SiC/C content of 29.88 wt% showed superior microwave absorption properties.

Enhanced electromagnetic wave absorption properties of PDCs-SiCN(Ni) fibers by in-situ formed CNTs and Ni2Si

Summary: SiCN(Ni) fibers with 1 wt % nickel content were synthesized using polymer-derived ceramics method and electrospinning technology. The addition of nickel promoted the formation of CNTs and Ni2Si, improving the impedance matching performance and electromagnetic wave absorption properties. The fabricated fibers showed low reflection loss and wide effective absorption bandwidth.

Grow defect-rich bamboo-like carbon nanotubes on carbon black for enhanced microwave absorption properties in X band

Summary: In this study, defect-rich bamboo-like carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were grown on carbon black (CB) to establish a developed multilevel conductive network and introduce abundant CB/CNTs nano-interfaces. The defects on CNTs provide moderate conductivity and good impedance matching for effective microwave absorption (MA). Moreover, the high-density defects on CNTs enhance the EMW loss ability by inducing dipole polarization.

Synthesis and tunable electromagnetic shielding and absorption performance of the three-dimensional SiC nanowires/carbon fiber composites

Summary: SiCnws/CF composite materials were fabricated using in-situ growth method, and the SiCnw fraction could be adjusted by using different catalysts. At a small SiCnw fraction, the composites exhibited excellent EMW absorption performance, while they transformed into EMI shielding performance with the increase in SiCnw fraction. In addition, the SiCnws/CF composite materials had low density and excellent high-temperature stability, making them suitable for harsh environments.

Summary: The study successfully utilized a combination of DLP 3D printing technology and modified ceramic precursor PSO to fabricate Al2O3 ceramic devices with a gradient impedance bilayer structure, while incorporating needle-like SiC nanowire absorbents to enhance the functional characteristics. Different treatment processes on the Al2O3/SiCnw/SiOC composites revealed that sample 1400-2 showed optimal microwave absorption performance, with an exceptionally high absorption rate of electromagnetic waves. The results suggest that the Al2O3/SiCnw/SiOC composite with bilayer gradient impedance structures is a promising candidate for stealth radar wave absorption due to its unique dielectric properties.
