Excitation Function of Kinetic Freeze-Out Parameters at 6.3, 17.3, 31, 900 and 7000 GeV

Muhammad Waqas et al.

Summary: In this study, the transverse momentum spectra of pi+ (pi-) (pi++pi-) in proton-proton collisions at different energies were analyzed using the blast-wave model with Tsallis statistics. The study found that the parameters increased with the increase of collision energy, while at 31 GeV, they decreased with increasing rapidity, except for the kinetic freeze-out volume. The study also extracted the entropy-based parameter q, and noticed its increasing trend with increasing collision energy, while at 31 GeV, no specific dependence of q on rapidity was observed.

Pseudorapidity dependence of the pT spectra of charged hadrons in pp collisions at √S=0.9 and 2.36 TeV

Pei-Pin Yang et al.

Summary: This study compares the predictions of different Monte Carlo event generators (including HUING, Pythia, and QGSJETII) with experimental data obtained from the CMS Collaboration at CERN. Results show that Pythia reproduces the experimental data more accurately in most cases, while HUING and QGSJETII can only reproduce the data within a limited range. Additionally, parameter values relevant to the study of bulk properties of hadronic matter at high energy were extracted using two analytic functions, and it was found that the values extracted from the RUING and Pythia models are closer to the experimental data than those extracted from the QGSJETII model.

Collective properties of hadrons in comparison of models prediction in pp collisions at 7 TeV

Muhammad Ajaz et al.

Summary: The analysis compares the spectra of unidentified charged particles obtained in proton-proton collisions by the CMS experiment with simulation results from the PYTHIA8.24 and EPOS-LHC models. The study shows that the PYTHIA model has better predictions in the high P-T region, while the EPOS model performs well in the intermediate P-T region. The study also reveals a decreasing trend in T-0 values with increasing eta, and no clear trend in the transverse flow velocity.

Summary: The QCD based model on diffractive processes incorporates various properties such as total cross section, differential elastic cross section, and proton dissociation cross section. Additionally, the model calculates the mean transverse momenta of 'wee partons' in dissociation processes and compares them with those in inelastic interactions.

Study of pT spectra of light particles using modified Hagedorn function and cosmic rays Monte Carlo event generators in proton-proton collisions at √s=900 GeV

Muhammad Ajaz et al.

Summary: The study analyzed the transverse momentum spectra of charged particles in pp collisions measured by the ALICE experiment and compared the results with predictions from various models. The analysis revealed that the average transverse flow velocity decreases with increasing particle mass, while the kinetic freeze-out temperature increases with particle mass. The models successfully reproduced the behavior observed in the experimental data, with some differences in predicted values for certain parameters.

A review on the transmission of COVID-19 based on cough/sneeze/breath flows

Mouhammad El Hassan et al.

Summary: The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted society, emphasizing the importance of understanding disease transmission dynamics in limiting spread. Studies on human airflow dynamics play a crucial role in predicting virus transmission through air. Experimental and numerical research have shown that factors such as particle sizes and flow turbulence influence the spread of the virus. Additionally, investigating the effectiveness of facemasks in preventing COVID-19 transmission is of great interest.

Freezeout properties of different light nuclei at the RHIC beam energy scan

M. Waqas et al.

Summary: By analyzing the transverse momentum spectra of light nuclei in Au-Au collisions using the blast wave model, it was observed that the kinetic freezeout temperature, transverse flow velocity, and kinetic freezeout volume exhibit saturation from 14.5-39 GeV, indicating a possible phase transition at 39 GeV. Furthermore, there is a decreasing trend in these parameters from central to peripheral collisions. Moreover, the triton freezeout volume was found to be smaller than that of deuteron and anti-deuteron, suggesting an earlier freezeout for triton.

G. Aad et al.

Summary: This paper presents a measurement of the Standard Model Higgs Boson decaying to b-quark pairs in the vector boson fusion production mode using data collected by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The signal strength measured is 0.95 with an observed significance of 2.6 standard deviations. Additionally, the results are combined with an analysis of Higgs bosons decaying to b-quarks, produced via VBF in association with a photon.

Multiplicity dependencies of midrapidity transverse momentum spectra of identified charged particles in p plus p collisions at (s)1/2=13 TeV at LHC

Khusniddin K. Olimov et al.

Summary: The study analyzed the multiplicity dependencies of midrapidity pt spectra of identified charged particles in inelastic p+p collisions at 13 TeV at the LHC. It was found that with an increase in multiplicity, the effective temperatures T increased consistently, and the transverse flow became significant at higher multiplicity events. The probable onset of deconfinement phase transition was estimated to occur at an average charged-particle multiplicity density of approximately 7.1 +/- 0.2.

Characterizing Proton-Proton Collisions at the Large Hadron Collider with Thermal Properties

Dushmanta Sahu et al.

Summary: This paper explores the thermal properties of matter formed in proton-proton collisions at LHC energies, such as mean free path, isobaric expansivity, and thermal pressure, utilizing a thermodynamically consistent Tsallis distribution function. The study investigates the particle species-dependent mean free path and isobaric expansivity as functions of final state charged particle multiplicity for pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy root s = 7 TeV. The effects of non-extensivity, baryochemical potential, and temperature on these thermal properties are also examined and compared with theoretical expectations.
