Bearing fault diagnosis method based on adaptive maximum cyclostationarity blind deconvolution

Zhijian Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, a cyclic frequency set estimation method based on autocorrelation function of morphological envelope is proposed to address the issue of determining cyclic frequency in CYCBD. Additionally, a performance efficiency ratio index is introduced to balance the performance and time cost of CYCBD, followed by the use of an equal-step search strategy for adaptively selecting the filter length. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through simulation and experiment.

Weakening of the multi-point constraints in modal substructuring using singular value decomposition

Miha Pogacar et al.

Summary: Modal substructuring is a subdomain of dynamic substructuring where dealing with multi-point connections between subcomponents is a challenging task. An alternative weakening approach based on singular value decomposition (SVD) is proposed in this paper to address the issue of inaccuracies in interface dynamics and selection of appropriate projection basis. This approach, utilizing dominant left singular vectors from SVD, proves to provide a consistent and reliable basis for the constraint-weakening process in substructuring.

Nonlinear sparse mode decomposition and its application in planetary gearbox fault diagnosis

Haiyang Pan et al.

Summary: Traditional time-frequency analysis methods have limitations in handling nonlinear signals. A new algorithm called nonlinear sparse mode decomposition (NSMD) is proposed, which utilizes a singular local linear operator to extract local narrowband signal components and adaptively decompose the signal with good robustness and adaptability. Analysis results show that NSMD method is effective for raw vibration signals.

Summary: A concentrated TFA method based on TSST is proposed in this article to accurately capture the impulse features in CM signals for fault diagnosis. An iteration procedure is introduced to address the blurry time frequency representation problem of TSST, providing algorithmic support for signal reconstructions. Multi-source fidelity sparse representation via convex optimization for gearbox compound fault diagnosis

Weiguo Huang et al.

Summary: Industrial automatic control systems require high manufacturing accuracy, which can be adversely affected by compound faults in rotating machinery like gearboxes. To address this, a novel multi-source fidelity sparse representation method is proposed for accurate multiple fault diagnosis without prior knowledge of fault sources. The method involves analyzing the gearbox compound failure mechanism and constructing a multi-source penalty function to improve signal fidelity.
