This study demonstrates that the addition of virgin coconut oil to an electrospun PU/PCL membrane effectively improves antithrombogenicity and promotes anti-coagulation as well as cell adhesion.
This study aims to produce an electrospun polyurethane/polycaprolactone (PU/PCL) membrane loaded with virgin coconut oil (VCO) for improved antithrombogenicity. The results showed that the addition of VCO plays a remarkable role in mitigating blood cells adhesion, promoting anti-coagulation and aiding cell adhesion.
