Cellulose Nanofiber/Graphene Nanoplatelet/MXene Nanocomposites for Enhanced Electromagnetic Shielding and High In-Plane Thermal Conductivity

Qindan Chu et al.

Summary: A new strategy to improve the dispersity of graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) and integrate cellulose nanofiber (CNF), graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs), and MXene into a layered structure was proposed. The CNF/GNPs/MXene composite films exhibited excellent electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding performance and high in-plane thermal conductivity by combining the excellent electrical conductivity of MXene and the high thermal conductivity of GNPs.

In situ synthesis of polymer-modified boron nitride nanosheets via anionic polymerization

Zhiyan He et al.

Summary: This study presents a method for in-situ synthesis of polymer-modified boron nitride nanosheets via reductive functionalization. The functionalized boron nitride nanosheets show excellent dispersibility in acetone and provide remarkable mechanical reinforcement for polymeric composites when used as fillers. The reductive charge offers a simple and scalable route for versatile chemical modifications of BNNSs, which will have important applications in various fields.

Construction and mechanism of 3D printed polyamide 12/boron nitride template composites with localized and unidirectional thermally conductive property

Minhang Chen et al.

Summary: This study successfully explored novel polyamide 12 (PA12) based template composites with significantly improved localized and unidirectional thermally conductive property achieved through selectively distributed boron nitride (BN). The experiment and simulated results revealed that the enhanced thermally conductive property was attributed to the selectively distributed BN, enabling precise and controllable heat dissipation for high-frequency and high-speed electronic devices.

Confined Unimolecular Micelles for Precisely Controlled In Situ Synthesis of Stable Ultrasmall Metal Nanocluster Assemblies

Wenjie Zhang et al.

Summary: The controlled synthesis of ultrasmall metal nanocluster (NC) assemblies with a specific size and number of NCs can be achieved using star-like diblock copolymer unimolecular micelles as a scaffold. The length of the P4VP block in the polymers can be adjusted to control the size of the NC assemblies. Thiolate ligands play a crucial role in determining the size of individual nanoclusters and enhancing the stability of the NC assemblies, which have promising applications in catalysis, optics, and biomedicine.
