Summary: The research aimed to investigate the factors affecting Industry 4.0 implementation in the manufacturing industry in India through a survey among manufacturing managers and IT professionals. Results showed that increased productivity and efficiency were the biggest strengths, while the need for specialized training and skills were the biggest weaknesses. The study also identified increasing trust of customers in Internet transactions as the biggest opportunity and employee resistance to adopting new technologies as the biggest threat.
