The Directing Group: A Tool for Efficient and Selective C-F Bond Activation

Amrita Das et al.

Summary: The activation of C-F bonds is a hot topic in current research, with challenges remaining in activating strong bonds and developing regioselective methods for preparing partially fluorinated compounds. There is a need for new strategies to activate C-F bonds in less reactive monofluorinated compounds, and directed strategies applicable to various unreactive bonds are still required compared to directed C-H bond activation.
