Preparation of polymeric carbon nitride/TiO2 heterostructure with NH4Cl as template: Structural and photocatalytic studies

Zhengjie Wu et al.

Summary: In this study, a method for preparing polymeric carbon nitride/TiO2 (PCN/TiO2) with NH4Cl as template was proposed, and it was found that the PCN/TiO2 obtained had higher specific surface area and improved photocatalytic performance compared to PCN prepared by conventional methods. Various tests and analyses were conducted to explore the reaction mechanism, electron-hole separation efficiency, and energy band structure of PCN/TiO2. Degradation experiments and EPR analysis were also performed to investigate the RhB degradation mechanism and electron-hole transport path of PCN/TiO2.

One-step construction of S-scheme heterojunctions of N-doped MoS2 and S-doped g-C3N4 for enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen evolution

Yanli Chen et al.

Summary: S-scheme heterojunctions of S-doped g-C3N4 (SCN) and N-doped MoS2 (NMS) were constructed using a one-step thermal polycondensation method, revealing enhanced NMS purity. The NMS/SCN with an NMS ratio of 19.3 wt% showed the highest photocatalytic activity, with a significantly increased H2 generation rate.

Robust Z-scheme g-C3N4/WO3 heterojunction photocatalysts with morphology control of WO3 for efficient degradation of phenolic pollutants

Xueyan Zhang et al.

Summary: Z-scheme g-C3N4/WO3 heterojunction photocatalysts with controlled morphology of WO3 are easily fabricated and applied in photocatalytic degradation of phenolic pollutants under simulated sunlight. The enhanced photocatalytic activity of g-C3N4/WO3 is attributed to the Z-scheme band alignment, impact of WO3 ratio and morphology, and intimate interfacial contact between WO3 and g-C3N4. Active species generated during the process can oxidize target pollutants to harmless inorganic compounds.

Preparation of g-C3N4/TiO2 by template method and its photocatalytic performance

Zhengjie Wu et al.

Summary: The study proposed a method of preparing TiO2 supported on g-C3N4 using freeze-drying with NaCl as a template. The generated g-C3N4 and TiO2 formed a heterojunction during calcination, which reduced the rate of electron-hole combination and improved photocatalytic activity. The highest photocatalytic efficiency was achieved with a g-C3N4: TiO2 ratio of 2.5: 1, reaching a hydrogen production rate of 200.806 mu mol/g/h.

Study on Microstructure and Photocatalytic Mechanism of g-C3N4/WO3 Heterojunctions Prepared by Ice Template

Ke Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, g-C3N4/WO3 semiconductor photocatalysts were synthesized using the ice template method, and the photocatalytic performance was compared with different quality scores of WO3. The results showed that adding 10wt% of WO3 significantly increased the specific surface area and photocatalytic activity of the material.
