Summary: The title compound C10H10FNO3, also known as BFAOB, was efficiently synthesized and its structure confirmed through SC-XRD technique, revealing the presence of two crystallographically different molecules. Analysis using a molecular overlay plot demonstrated the differences between the two molecules, with strong hydrogen bonding stabilizing the crystal packing. Additionally, DFT calculations showed the high stability of the BFAOB crystal compound.
