Atmospheric chemistry of oxazole: the mechanism and kinetic studies of the oxidation reaction initiated by OH radicals

Abolfazl Shiroudi et al.

Summary: The oxidation reaction of oxazole was studied using DFT and reaction kinetics calculations, showing that OH-addition proceeds faster than H-abstraction by several orders of magnitude. Pressure and temperature effects were considered, with the most favorable process being hydroxyl attack onto the carbon adjacent to the oxygen.
