Schistosomiasis is a common cause of abdominal pain, which can overlap with symptoms of endometriosis. Operative laparoscopy aided in diagnosing schistosomiasis.
Schistosomiasis is a common endemic cause of abdominal pain outside the United States that can present with symptoms overlapping with endometriosis, a common cause of chronic pelvic pain in reproductive women.
