FIRST RECORD OF Brachymeria podagrica (HYMENOPTERA: CHALCIDIDAE) AS PARASITOID OF Peckia collusor (DIPTERA: SARCOPHAGIDAE)

Summary: This study reports the first occurrence of the wasp Brachymeria podagrica in Colombia, a solitary parasitoid of larvae of the Peckia collusor fly. The parasitism prevalence was found to be 14.5% based on exposure of third instar larvae of P. collusor to outdoor conditions for 6 hours at the Tecnologico de Antioquia garden in Medellin, Colombia.
