Concentration modulated vanadium oxide nanostructures for NO2 gas sensing

B. M. Babar et al.

Summary: Vanadium Oxide (V2O5) nanostructures were prepared by a hydrothermal method and the effect of concentration variation on gas sensing performance was studied. The sample prepared with 0.3 M concentration showed the best response with good sensing features, making it a potential candidate for gas sensor fabrication.

V2O5/rGO arrays as potential anode materials for high performance sodium ion batteries

Zujing Wang et al.

Summary: The study successfully deposited V2O5 nanobelt arrays on Ni foam uniformly coated with reduced graphene oxides (rGO) to manufacture high-performance V2O5/rGO arrays directly as anodes for SIBs. The novel architecture improved the transportation of sodium ions and electrons significantly, with the introduction of rGO enhancing the electronic conductivity and preventing V2O5 arrays exfoliation from the substrate. The electrochemical performance of V2O5/rGO arrays was greatly enhanced, promising a reversible capacity of 0.62 mAh cm(-2) after 100 cycles, indicating potential for tailored high-performance V2O5-based anode materials.

Structure and Photoluminescence Properties of Thermally Synthesized V2O5 and Al-Doped V2O5 Nanostructures

Chih-Chiang Wang et al.

Summary: Al-free and Al-doped V2O5 nanostructures were synthesized using a CVD process on Si(100), revealing that Al doping affected the crystallinity of V2O5 and decreased the photoluminescence intensity. The study showed that Al-doped V2O5 nanostructures have potential applications in smart windows and as electrode materials in Li-ion batteries.

Enhanced He gas detection by V2O5-noble metal (Au, Ag, and Pd) nanocomposite with temperature dependent n- to p-type transition

Pankaj Singh Chauhan et al.

Summary: The nanocomposite of V2O5 nanowires with noble metal nanoparticles showed the highest response to Helium gas, especially the V-Ag composite. The high electrical conductivity of Ag nanoparticles contributed to the ultra-high response of the V-Ag composite, which exhibited behavior of a p-type semiconductor at higher temperatures.
