Activated carbons derived from sugarcane bagasse for high-capacitance electrical double layer capacitors

Authit Phakkhawan et al.

Summary: Activated carbon from sugarcane bagasse was prepared using a two-step method and four different activating agents. The AC electrodes showed superior specific capacitances compared to non-AC electrodes, with the AC-KOH electrode delivering the highest capacitance retention of almost 100% after 1000 cycles. This study demonstrates the strong potential of sugarcane bagasse-derived AC as a high stability supercapacitor electrode material.

Constructing High Efficiency CoZnxMn2-xO4 Electrocatalyst by Regulating the Electronic Structure and Surface Reconstruction

Depeng Zhao et al.

Summary: Several vacancy-dependent CoZnxMn2-xO4 catalysts were prepared by tailoring the concentration of Zn ions. The superior electrocatalytic performance can be attributed to the formations of active species and oxygen vacancies. These catalysts exhibit comparable performance to noble metal catalysts IrO2 and Pt/C.
