Microstructure and Performance of Ni/TiN Coatings Deposited by Laser Melting Deposition on 40Cr Substrates

Yan Wang et al.

Summary: This study successfully prepared Ni/TiN coatings through laser melting deposition for repairing the shaft of an electric submersible pump. The coatings exhibited fine grains and a compact structure, with good microhardness, shear strength, and wear resistance. The Ni/TiN coating deposited at 1.5 kW showed the best performance.

LSTM-convolutional-BLSTM encoder-decoder network for minimum mean-square error approach to speech enhancement

Zeyu Wang et al.

Summary: The paper proposes an LCLED network for speech enhancement, combining LSTM, convolution, and BLSTM structures to capture contextual information and frequency features. Using SNR as the learning target and applying MMSE for postprocessing, it shows better model performance compared to fully LSTM structure.

Evaluation of the microstructure, thermal and mechanical properties of Cu/SiC nanocomposites fabricated by mechanical alloying

Essam B. Moustafa et al.

Summary: In this study, nano-sized silicon carbide reinforced copper matrix nanocomposites were manufactured and characterized for their microstructure and properties. The results showed that the mechanical properties of the nanocomposites can be significantly improved by increasing the SiC content and sintering temperature, including hardness and strengthening efficiency. Additionally, these nanocomposites exhibit good electrical conductivity and thermal stability.

Jet Pulse Electrodeposited Ni-SiC Thin Coatings by Using Experimental System Designed for Potential Industrial Application

Wenqing Liu et al.

Summary: This study investigated Ni-SiC thin coatings prepared by the JPED method at different jet rates in terms of surface morphology, microstructure, surface hardness, and wear resistance. SiC particles exhibited diffraction peaks on specific crystal planes, and the coating prepared at 3 m/s jet rate showed the highest microhardness value and best corrosion resistance.
