Inorganic arsenic species removal from water using bone char: A detailed study on adsorption kinetic and isotherm models using error functions analysis

Susan S. A. Alkurdi et al.

Summary: The study showed that bone char is effective in removing inorganic arsenic from water, with the Sips model providing the best fit for As(III) experimental data and the Langmuir model suitable for As(V) data. At low concentrations, removal was due to intra-particle interactions and pore diffusion, while at higher concentrations, pore diffusion mechanism was ineffective.

Effect of production temperature in biochar properties from bamboo culm and its influences on atrazine adsorption from aqueous systems

Mariana Sbizzaro et al.

Summary: Biochar from bamboo culm was produced at three different temperatures and evaluated for its efficiency in atrazine adsorption. The results showed that higher production temperature led to enhanced aromaticity and surface area of biochar, resulting in improved atrazine adsorption capacity. Among the three biochars tested, the one produced at 450 degrees C exhibited the best performance in atrazine removal.
