Antioxidant, Anti-inflammatory and Biosorption Properties of Starch Nanocrystals In Vitro Study: Cytotoxic and Phytotoxic Evaluation

V. Vishnu Priyan et al.

Summary: The study investigated the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and biosorption properties of starch nanocrystals (SNC). SNC exhibited high scavenging activity and anti-inflammatory properties at certain concentrations. The biosorption capacity of SNC was shown to decrease as pH increased, with optimal removal efficiency at pH 2.0. The Langmuir isotherm model was found to be suitable for biosorption experiments with SNC, with a high R2 value of 0.986, and SNC showed non-toxic characteristics in cytotoxic and phytotoxic evaluations.
