Amidoxime-functionalized covalent organic framework as simultaneous luminescent sensor and adsorbent for organic arsenic from water

Hui Chen et al.

Summary: Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have been investigated as fluorescence sensors and adsorbents for the detection and removal of organic arsenic from water. The synthesized sp2 carbon-conjugated COFs with amidoxime functionalization exhibit high fluorescence quenching efficiencies for detecting roxarsone (ROX) and high adsorption capacities for organic arsenic compounds. The results demonstrate the great potential of these COFs for practical applications in wastewater treatment.

Au25 Nanoclusters Exhibit Superhigh Catalytic Activity in Electrochemical Detection of As(III)

Xiang-Yu Xiao et al.

Summary: The study successfully stabilizes Au-25 nanoclusters on Fe2O3 nanoplates, forming Au-25/OV-Fe2O3 with superhigh electrochemical reduction catalytic activity, breaking sensitivity records and offering promising applications in the analysis of organic and bioactive substances. The Au-Fe bond and S atoms in Au-25 nanoclusters play important roles in the reduction of As(III). The fantastic stability and catalytic ability of Au-25/OV-Fe2O3 provide guidelines for stabilizing Au nanoclusters on metal oxides.

In-situ growth of Ti3C2@MIL-NH2 composite for highly enhanced photocatalytic H2 evolution

Yujie Li et al.

Summary: Efficient metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for photocatalytic H-2 production from water have gained significant attention, but their poor conductivity limits their activity. A Ti-based MOF composite (Ti3C2@MIL-NH2) was developed, showing superior H-2 evolution performance with a high rate. Intimate interfacial contact between Ti3C2 and MIL-NH2 accelerates electron transfer and improves photo-generated charge separation efficiency.
