China, South Korea, India, Japan, and Egypt were the top five countries submitting trials, with China having the highest proportion.

Summary: This study compared journal responses to a specific reagent error in 31 human gene knockdown publications, revealing variations in responses between journals and suggesting a need for editorial staff to have more support in interpreting post-publication notifications of incorrect nucleotide sequences. Countries with a high level of societal trust in science are more likely to have confident populations in regards to vaccines. Additionally, societal consensus around trust in science moderates the relationship between scientific trust and vaccine confidence, with stronger correlations in countries with higher levels of social consensus.

Meta-epidemiological study of publication integrity, and quality of conduct and reporting of randomized trials included in a systematic review of low back pain

Summary: The study compared trials published by predatory and non-predatory publishers, finding that trials published by predatory publishers consistently had inferior conduct, reporting, and publication integrity characteristics. Trials published by predatory publishers were associated with missing conflict of interest statements, inadequate follow-up durations, incomplete study methods and baseline reporting, and a high risk of bias. More work is needed to understand the potential impact of trials published in predatory publications on evidence from systematic reviews.
