Structural and dynamical properties of dilute gel networks in colloid-polymer mixtures

Summary: The competition between short-range depletion attraction and long-range repulsion in colloid-polymer mixtures results in the formation of dilute gel networks, where colloidal particles arrange in thin strands. These networks occur at low packing fractions with strong attractions, exhibiting distinct features in structure and dynamics on different length and time scales compared to clumpy gels or cluster fluids.
