Summary: Blastomere loss in vitrified/warmed Day3 embryos is associated with impaired embryo development and reduced chances of conception. In addition, these embryos have a higher early miscarriage rate. However, if blastomere loss embryos result in a live birth, there are no adverse neonatal outcomes. Primary infertility and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) were identified as risk factors for blastomere loss.
