High-temperature deformation behavior and processing map of the as-cast Inconel 625 alloy

Zhi Jia et al.

Summary: The short process of Inconel 625 alloy tube was developed to improve traditional extrusion process, focusing on the hot deformation behavior of the as-cast Inconel 625 alloy. Hot compression experiments were conducted to study the effects of temperature and strain rate on microstructural characteristics. The results showed that temperature had a greater influence on processing maps than strain rate, leading to the determination of the optimal condition for the as-cast Inconel 625 alloy.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of TiAl/Ni-based superalloy joints vacuum brazed with Ti-Zr-Fe-Cu-Ni-Co-Mo filler metal

Bao Wan et al.

Summary: A novel Ti-Zr-Fe-Cu-Ni-Co-Mo filler metal was used to join TiAl to GH536, and the effects of brazing temperature on interfacial microstructure and chemical composition were analyzed. The shear strength and brazing seam thickness initially increased and then decreased with increasing brazing temperature, with joint performance being controlled by brazing seam thickness and formation of intermetallic compounds.

Effect of Zr content on microstructure and mechanical properties of lightweight Al2NbTi3V2Zrx high entropy alloy

Qian Zhi et al.

Summary: Al2NbTi3V2Zrx high entropy alloys were produced using mechanical milling and vacuum hot pressing. The microstructure of the alloys changes with varying Zr content, with the emergence of different intermetallic phases. The mechanical properties of the alloys also vary accordingly, with the Al2NbTi3V2Zr0.4 alloy showing superior comprehensive mechanical properties compared to other HEAs and Ti64 alloy.

Thermodynamic Estimation of the Formation of a High-Entropy Al-Nb-Ti-V-Zr Alloy

Yu A. Mityushova et al.

Summary: High-entropy alloys (HEAs) are of interest to many scientific researchers due to their unique formation and structure, which differ significantly from traditional alloys. There are currently two main approaches to predicting the phase composition of HEAs, using phenomenological parameters or thermodynamic simulation. The study of the AlNbTiVZr system suggests that these alloys are likely to form disordered single-phase bcc solid solutions.
