Preparation of multivariate zirconia metal-organic frameworks for highly efficient adsorption of endocrine disrupting compounds

Summary: The preparation of multivariate Zr-MOFs via mixed-ligands strategy allows for the control of morphology, adsorption, and removal properties, with 57%TCPP@MOF-808 showing excellent stability and high adsorption capacity for endocrine disrupting compounds. The use of 57%TCPP@MOF-808 as sorbent in dispersive solid-phase extraction led to successful extraction of EDCs with high recoveries and enrichment factors, demonstrating its potential in environmental pollutant detection.

The probe also demonstrated excellent penetration into cell cytoplasm and nucleus for cellular level detection. Successful detection of cys and hcys in human serum sample was achieved, indicating a promising future for selective and sensitive estimation of these biothiols.

Self-assembled metal-organic frameworks nanocrystals synthesis and application for plumbagin drug delivery in acute lung injury therapy

Summary: Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have shown great potential in various fields, including nanotechnology and biomedical applications. In this study, zeolite imidazole skeleton-8 (ZIF-8) was used as a drug carrier for the treatment of lung injury. The results demonstrated that ZIF-8 encapsulating plumbagin (PLB) effectively reduced collagen fibers deposition and decreased the secretion of inflammatory factors in a severe lung injury animal model. This research presents a promising strategy for the application of MOF materials in the biomedical field.

Metal-Organic Frameworks Decorated Cu2O Heterogeneous Catalysts for Selective Oxidation of Styrene

Summary: The selective oxidation of styrene requires highly efficient, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective catalysts. In this study, Cu2O@Cu-BDC-NH2 catalysts were developed through an in situ self-assembly strategy. The optimized sample achieved high conversion and selectivity under mild conditions, thanks to the well-designed interface and porous MOF shells. Furthermore, Cu2O cuboctahedrons were also synthesized and showed good catalytic performance. This work provides a useful strategy for developing efficient and environmentally friendly heterogeneous catalysts for the selective oxidation of styrene.

The chemiluminescence of AgInS2 quantum dots and its application as a sensing platform for glutathione assay

Summary: Highly luminescent water-soluble AgInS2 quantum dots were prepared through a green hydrothermal method, and their chemiluminescence induced by NaIO4 in alkaline solution was investigated. The addition of glutathione effectively enhanced the luminescence intensity, providing a sensing platform for sensitive assay of GSH with a linear range from 1.0 x 10(-9) mol L-1 to 5.0 x 10(-6) mol L-1 and a detection limit of 2.8 x 10(-10) mol L-1, which was successfully applied to the analysis of human plasma for practical use.
