The produced liquid product has higher iso-paraffin content and well-controlled levels of coke deposition, olefins, and aromatics, offering a cost-effective and environmental-friendly route for naphtha reforming.

Synthesis of Highly-Dispersed Ni/Mesoporous Silica via an Ammonia Evaporation Method for Dry Reforming of Methane: Effect of the Ni Loadings

Summary: Mesoporous silica was used in combination with the ammonia evaporation method to prepare highly dispersed Ni catalysts for the dry reforming of methane. Among the catalysts studied, the 10% Ni-SiO2 catalyst exhibited the best catalytic performance with the highest conversions of CH4 and CO2 at 600 degrees C, attributed to its optimal Ni content and highly dispersed metal nanoparticles in the mesopores.
