ELM-Based Adaptive Faster Fixed-Time Control of Robotic Manipulator Systems

Miaomiao Gao et al.

Summary: This article addresses the problem of fast fixed-time tracking control for robotic manipulator systems subject to model uncertainties and disturbances. A novel faster nonsingular fixed-time sliding mode (FNFTSM) surface is developed to ensure faster convergence rate, and an extreme learning machine (ELM) algorithm is utilized to suppress the negative influence of system uncertainties and disturbances. The proposed control scheme combines fixed-time stable theory and the ELM learning technique, enabling adaptive fixed-time sliding mode control without knowing any information of system parameters.

Moving sliding mode controller for overhead cranes suffering from matched and unmatched disturbances

Xiutao Gu et al.

Summary: In this paper, a novel time-varying gain extended state observer (ESO)-based moving sliding mode control method is proposed for anti-sway and positioning control of two-dimensional underactuated overhead cranes. The controller design includes a dynamic sliding mode surface that adjusts its slope in real time and a chattering-free reaching law for fast convergence. A time-varying gain ESO is constructed to estimate disturbances and provide feedforward compensation. The simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

Barrier Function Adaptive Nonsingular Terminal Sliding Mode Control Approach for Quad-Rotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Khalid A. Alattas et al.

Summary: This paper presents a barrier function adaptive non-singular terminal sliding mode controller for a six-degrees-of-freedom (6DoF) quad-rotor in the presence of matched disturbances. The proposed method achieves convergence of tracking errors to origin by designing a linear sliding surface and a novel non-singular terminal sliding surface. An adaptive control law based on a barrier function is recommended to reject matched disturbances entering the quad-rotor system.

Desired tracking of delayed quadrotor UAV under model uncertainty and wind disturbance using adaptive super-twisting terminal sliding mode control

Omid Mofid et al.

Summary: This study examines the dynamic equation of quad-rotor UAVs in the presence of input-delay, model uncertainty, and wind disturbance. A super-twisting terminal sliding mode control approach is proposed for finite-time attitude and position tracking. The finite-time convergence of the tracking trajectory is proven using Lyapunov theory. An adaptive super-twisting terminal sliding mode control is proposed for unknown bounds of model uncertainty and wind disturbance. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the control technique.

Robust Output Feedback Control for Input-Saturated Systems Based on a Sliding Mode Observer

Qian Wang et al.

Summary: This paper presents a robust output feedback controller for input-saturated systems with parametric uncertainties and external disturbances based on the parametric Riccati equation and sliding mode observer. The designed controller ensures stability of the closed-loop system, with advantages including estimating unknown disturbances and uncertainties, increasing state convergence speed, and obtaining control gain from the Riccati equation solution.
