Heat Transfer Analysis of the MHD Stagnation Point Flow of a Non-Newtonian Tangent Hyperbolic Hybrid Nanofluid past a Non-Isothermal Flat Plate with Thermal Radiation Effect

Abdullah Dawar et al.

Summary: This study investigates the magnetohydrodynamic flow of a water-based hybrid nanofluid containing ferrous and graphene oxide nanoparticles past a flat plate, taking into account the stagnation points, magnetic field and thermal radiation. The non-Newtonian behavior of the flow is also considered, and the proposed model is analytically solved using HAM. The results show that the velocity field is significantly reduced with increasing volume fractions of the nanoparticles, while the thermal field is increased. The viscosity of the flow is increased with a larger power-law index, resulting in an increased velocity field but an opposite effect on the thermal field.

MHD Natural Convection and Radiation over a Flame in a Partially Heated Semicircular Cavity Filled with a Nanofluid

Obai Younis et al.

Summary: This study investigates the numerical analysis of MHD-free convective heat transfer and its interaction with radiation over a heated flame inside a porous semicircular cavity loaded with SWCNTs-water nanofluid for the first time. The results indicate that decreasing the heated region length is beneficial for enhancing natural convection, and increasing parameters such as Ra, phi, Rd, and Da result in a proportional increase in Nu(out) while Ha shows an inverse relationship. Furthermore, an increase in radiation and Hartmann number leads to a 4% increase and 56.55% decrease, respectively, in the average Nu on the heated length. Additionally, a rise in radiation number causes a 73% increase in the average Nu of the heated flame, and increasing the Hartmann number results in an 82.4% decrement of the maximum velocity profile in the vertical direction.
