A trinuclear compound [Fe-3(4-C(3)trz)(6)(H2O)(6)] (ClO4)(6) (1) was synthesized by reacting iron (II) salts with 4-cyclopropl-1,2,4-triazole. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction showed that compound 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group R (3) over bar, and temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibility and heat capacity tests revealed the presence of spin transitions.
By reaction of iron (II) salts with 4-cyclopropl-1,2,4-triazole, hereafter abbreviated as 4-C(3)trz, one trinuclear compound has been synthesized, namely [Fe-3(4-C(3)trz)(6)(H2O)(6)] (ClO4)(6) (1). Singe-crystal X-ray diffraction indicated that compound 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group R (3) over bar. The lattice parameters are as follows: a = 12.2025(5) angstrom, b = 12.2025(5) angstrom, c = 12.2025(5) angstrom, alpha = beta = gamma = 68.62(6)degrees, Z = 4. Furthermore, variation temperature magnetic susceptibility and heat capacity tests reveal the existence of spin transitions in compound 1.
