Neural-network-based control for discrete-time nonlinear systems with denial-of-service attack: The adaptive event-triggered case

Xueli Wang et al.

Summary: This article investigates a neural network-based control problem for unknown discrete-time nonlinear systems with DoS attacks and an adaptive event-triggered mechanism. A novel adaptive rule and an NN-based observer are constructed to handle the challenges of complex time series, with an iteration adaptive dynamic programming approach proposed to address the control issue effectively. The boundedness of estimation errors and identified errors are discussed using Lyapunov theory.

Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Control for a Nonlinear Networked System Exposed to a Replay Attack

Reda El Abbadi et al.

Summary: This article investigates the stabilization problem of a nonlinear networked control system (NCS) exposed to a replay attack, proposing a new mathematical model for the attack. The resulting closed-loop system is defined as a discrete-time Markovian jump linear system (MJLS), with a sufficient condition for stochastic stability given in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) using Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional. Control law can be obtained by solving these LMIs, and a simulation using Matlab for an inverted pendulum (IP) illustrates the efficiency of the controller.

Resilience Against Replay Attacks: A Distributed Model Predictive Control Scheme for Networked Multi-Agent Systems

Giuseppe Franze et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a resilient distributed control scheme against replay attacks for multi-agent networked systems, aiming to promptly detect and mitigate malicious agent behaviors using predictive arguments and set-theoretic receding horizon control ideas. The topological description of the multi-agent system by a leader-follower digraph and the development of a distributed algorithm capable of instantaneously recognizing attacked agents are key components of the proposed approach.

Yulin Chen et al.

Summary: A hidden layer based attack-resilient distributed cooperative control algorithm is proposed to address the problem of secondary control in islanded microgrids under FDI attacks. The controller shows good performance in resisting time dependent and state dependent FDI attacks, and is applicable even when all distributed generators and communications are compromised.

Mitigating Concurrent False Data Injection Attacks in Cooperative DC Microgrids

Jingqiu Zhang et al.

Summary: Limited global information in DC microgrids with distributed cooperative control makes them vulnerable to cyber attacks, and a novel false data injection attack model called the concurrent attack is discussed in this study. An energy-based detection strategy and a differentiation criterion based on voltage correction terms from a voltage observer are proposed to distinguish between the concurrent attack and communication link attack. The effectiveness of the proposed resilient control scheme is demonstrated through simulations and experimental results.
