Multiobjective multitasking optimization assisted by multidirectional prediction method

Qianlong Dang et al.

Summary: This paper makes the first attempt to design an efficient transfer strategy based on multidirectional prediction method in the field of multiobjective multitasking optimization (MTO). A multiobjective EMT algorithm is proposed and implemented. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm performs well on two MTO test suits and is competitive with other state-of-the-art EMT algorithms.

A data-centric review of deep transfer learning with applications to text data

Samar Bashath et al.

Summary: In recent years, deep learning models have been widely used in many applications. However, traditional learning paradigms do not always hold for real-world data. In such cases, transfer learning can provide solutions by transferring information from data-rich sources to data-sparse targets. This paper surveys deep transfer learning models in the context of text data and introduces a new nomenclature and visual taxonomy.

Consensus of large-scale group decision making in social network: the minimum cost model based on robust optimization

Yanling Lu et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a consensus model based on robust optimization, which classifies experts based on their social relationships and similarity of opinions, and designs a consensus index to measure the level of consensus among experts. A minimum cost model is then proposed to solve the consensus problem, followed by a detailed consensus feedback adjustment method.

Learnable Evolutionary Search Across Heterogeneous Problems via Kernelized Autoencoding

Lei Zhou et al.

Summary: The evolutionary algorithm with learning capability has attracted increasing research interests, with the Autoencoding Evolutionary Search (AEES) showing promising performance in transferring knowledge from past search experiences. In this study, a Kernelized Autoencoding Evolutionary-Search (KAES) paradigm is proposed to adaptively select linear and kernelized autoencoding methods for effective knowledge transfer across problem domains during the evolutionary search process. Comprehensive empirical studies on benchmark multiobjective optimization problems and a real-world vehicle crashworthiness design problem are conducted to validate the efficacy of KAES.

A multi-stage evolutionary algorithm for multi-objective optimization with complex constraints

Haiping Ma et al.

Summary: Constrained multi-objective optimization problems are challenging to handle due to the complexities of objectives and constraints. To address this issue, a multi-stage evolutionary algorithm is proposed in this paper, which gradually adds constraints and sorts their handling priority based on their impact on the Pareto front. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms state-of-the-art algorithms in dealing with complex constraint problems.
