By simulation, it was found that the drag ratio between the trailing particle and leading particle in supercritical water is similar to that in fluids with constant properties. The physical properties of supercritical water have a special effect on the drag ratio of the trailing particle, with the degree of effect being influenced by Re and distance.
The drag of interactive particles in supercritical water (SCW) is studied by simulation. The difference in drag force between the leading particle and isolated particle is relatively small. The drag ratio between the trailing particle and leading particle is mainly analyzed. It is found that the variation trends of drag ratio in SCW are similar to that in fluids with constant properties. In particular, physical properties of SCW also have a special effect on drag ratio of the trailing particle. However, the degree of effect of physical properties is affected by the Re and distance. A new expression of the drag ratio is established for fluids with constant properties and developed into a new correlation for SCW.
