Strong and weak cation-exchange groups generated cryogels films for adsorption and purification of lysozyme from chicken egg white

Gulay Bayramoglu et al.

Summary: In this study, macroporous poly(HEMA-GMA) cryogels with modified epoxy groups were prepared for efficient adsorption and purification of lysozyme. The strong and weak cation exchange cryogels exhibited high adsorption capacities for lysozyme, with the former achieving 188.3 mg/g cryogel at 25°C. The cationic cryogel showed promising results in repeated adsorption-desorption processes, maintaining its high efficiency and capacity for lysozyme purification from egg-white.

Purification of lysozyme from chicken egg white by high-density cation exchange adsorbents in stirred fluidized bed adsorption system

Pau Loke Show et al.

Summary: Lysozyme was successfully purified from crude chicken egg white using ion exchange chromatography, with optimal adsorption conditions at pH 9. The recovery yield and purification factor of lysozyme were 93.78% and -40 folds, respectively. These findings suggest that SP and SP-XL adsorbents are highly effective for direct lysozyme recovery from crude CEW.

Conducting/biodegradable chitosan-polyaniline film; Antioxidant, color, solubility and water vapor permeability properties

Sajad Pirsa et al.

Summary: In this study, a chitosan-polyaniline nanocomposite film was prepared, and it was found that increasing polyaniline concentration and synthesis time reduced water solubility and water vapor permeability, while also altering the surface color of the film and enhancing antioxidant properties. Additionally, polyaniline decreased light transmission and transparency of the films, making them suitable for packaging light-sensitive products.
