Development and validation of an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the determination of bovine lactoferrin in various milk products

Fabian Ostertag et al.

Summary: A competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was developed for the detection of lactoferrin in minor whey protein, showing good recovery values in various milk-based products. The method exhibited high accuracy and precision in validation runs, with a limit of quantification determined at 62 mg L-1, demonstrating its applicability in monitoring lactoferrin content during curd production.

Quantitation of glycated albumin by isotope dilution mass spectrometry

Shin Aleks et al.

Summary: This study developed an assay for absolute quantitation of glycated albumin based on isotope dilution liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. The method showed good analytical performance with a linear correlation between LC-MS/MS and Lucica method. This approach allows simultaneous quantitation of glycated and non-glycated peptides.

Lactoferrin and Its Detection Methods: A Review

Yingqi Zhang et al.

Summary: Lactoferrin, a major functional protein in human health maintenance, has potential as a biomarker for diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease and Alzheimer's disease. Various methods have been developed for detecting lactoferrin levels. These studies aim to inspire the development of new sensing systems for lactoferrin detection.
