Comprehensive supramolecular solvent-based sample treatment platform for evaluation of combined exposure to mixtures of bisphenols and derivatives by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry

Noelia Caballero-Casero et al.

Summary: The study presents a comprehensive sample treatment platform for efficient extraction and interference removal in the determination of twenty-one bisphenols and derivatives in various human exposure sources and biological fluids. The method, based on a hexanol-based supramolecular solvent, offers valuable analytical and operational characteristics for assessing human exposure to bisphenol mixtures. Only four out of twenty-one bisphenols were not found in the analyzed samples, indicating the effectiveness of the method.
