Summary: Medical professionals worldwide use instant messaging apps to share and discuss clinical data, which are perceived as a fast and easy mode of communication. However, there are concerns about privacy and compliance issues related to sharing clinical data through IM. Most individuals are accustomed to sending and receiving clinical data through IM, including various types of data such as 12-lead electrocardiograms, medical history, and echo loops.
