Research on environmental dust pollution: ventilation and dust space-time evolution law of a fully mechanized mining face with 7-m mining height

Dawei Chen et al.

Summary: This study investigates the influence of dust generated by multiple sources on the safety conditions in a coal mine, using computational fluid dynamics to analyze the space-time evolution of dust. The results show that the distribution of wind flow is mainly affected by the structure of the roadway, and the speed and direction of the wind flow change significantly when passing corners and large-scale equipment. The study also examines the laws of dust generation and pollution diffusion based on different coal cutting and hydraulic support shifting scenarios.
