Summary: European Union Council Directive 2013/51/EURATOM sets out indicator parameters for radon, tritium, and indicative dose of water for human consumption. This research developed an effective procedure for determining radon and radium isotopes in underground water reservoirs, finding weak correlations between them and Rn-222 concentration in soil gas. The study used a specific scintillation cocktail for extraction and detection, achieving low limits of detection for Ra-226 in water samples.
