A novel MPPT PI discrete reverse-acting controller for a wind energy conversion system

Jose Genaro Gonzalez-Hernandez et al.

Summary: This paper introduces an original maximum power point tracking controller for an experimental direct-drive full-variable-speed full-rated converter Type IV Wind Energy Conversion System, which employs a reverse-acting controller to achieve reliable and efficient experimental results for extracting maximum power from the wind. A concise control law specifically designed for experiments is presented, which can be easily implemented using a standard digital processor.

Integral sliding mode control for DFIG based WECS with MPPT based on artificial neural network under a real wind profile

Hamid Chojaa et al.

Summary: A robust integral sliding mode control (ISMC) with Lyapunov function was proposed for controlling the active and reactive powers of a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind turbine, achieving high dynamic performances. Through a robust MPPT algorithm with mechanical speed control and artificial Neural Network Controller (ANNC), the system operated around an optimal rotational speed to extract maximum power. The effectiveness and robustness of the control methods were demonstrated through testing in MATLAB/Simulink environment, showing superior performance in dynamic response, total harmonic distortion, reference tracking ability, etc.

Data-Driven Pareto-DE-Based Intelligent Optimal Operational Control for Stochastic Processes

Liping Yin et al.

Summary: This article discusses the optimal operational control problem for complex industrial processes with stochastic disturbances, proposing a method to optimize performance index by reselecting set points and designing controllers. The method obtains operational indices through optimization algorithms and designs controllers in ideal conditions to ensure controlled variables track desired set points. Additionally, a Pareto distribution estimation-based intelligent set-points reselection approach is introduced to simultaneously optimize entropy and expectation in order to minimize performance deterioration caused by non-Gaussian stochastic noises.
