Comparative study on the liquid desiccant dehumidi fi cation performance of lithium chloride and potassium formate

Tao Wen et al.

Summary: Liquid desiccant dehumidification driven by renewable energy is promising. This study investigated the dehumidification characteristics of KCOOH solution and compared it with LiCl solution, finding that 70.3% KCOOH solution had higher moisture removal due to increased wetting area and similar mass transfer coefficients. An empirical correlation for predicting the mass transfer coefficient of KCOOH solution was obtained with good accuracy.
