Impacts of energy transition on Liquefied Natural Gas shipping: A case study of China and its strategies

Yuwei Yin et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the impact of energy transition on energy shipping, with a particular focus on the coal-to-gas transition in China and its effect on LNG shipping imports. Using a System Dynamics model, the study found that China can reduce its reliance on LNG by supporting renewable energy and shale gas development, and encourage BRI member countries to diversify their energy export routes.
