Grid Current Feedback Active Damping Control Based on Disturbance Observer for Battery Energy Storage Power Conversion System with LCL Filter

Summary: The paper proposes an improved active damping control for a grid-tied power conversion system with LCL filter to attenuate its inherent resonance characteristics. Anti-interference ability is enhanced by estimating the second-order derivation of grid-injected current, and parameter mismatch effects are compensated by subtracting estimated values from modulated voltage references. The design method and robustness issues of the disturbance observer are discussed, with detailed simulation and experimental results confirming the effectiveness of the control method in the power conversion system.
